Dear Visitors!
I am glad that you are here, virtually, with us, in the heart of the Székely Salt Land. I was born here, I live here, and as mayor, I would like to convey to you the feeling that makes this place so special. The soul of our region comes from the depths of the earth. The Salt Hill has kept its secrets for thousands of years and offers us the treasure that is the basis of everything. Although the healing air galleries deep in the mine are not currently usable – the power of salt has not been lost – in fact, it is perhaps stronger than ever.

There is a place in the heart of Transylvania, where the scent of salt mixes with the freshness of the pine forests, where legends of the past live among the mountains, and where the guest is not just a tourist, but a beloved visitor. This place is Praid, the pride of the Salt Country. Although the salt mine, which is deservedly famous in faraway lands, was temporarily closed due to the natural disaster of May 2025, the tourism of Praid and the nearby region lives on. Moreover, it awaits its guests even better than ever with thousands of sights and attractions.
